Privacy should be a top priority for everyone online. When sending messages online there are many different options.

Signal. It’s simple. You can get your family to switch easily. One downside is they require a phone number. That is always personally identifiable. Bummer. The E2EE is great though!

Alternatively there is Session! Session uses the same encryption protocol as Signal but where it differs is a phone number is not required and is actually never asked for.

Session uses a hash for it’s username. Making it a lot more private. Session is decentralized.
