Tor Snowflake Proxy

I’ve enabled Tor’s Snowflake Proxy on all servers in my network.

What is a Snowflake Proxy?

The Tor Project’s Snowflake is a system which helps users in censorious countries gain access to the wider internet (via Tor) despite blocking attempts by local ISPs or Governments. Given current geopolitics, it’s unsurprising currently seeing heavy usage from users in both Russia and Iran as citizens seek out non-state-originated information on events affecting those countries.

Snowflake proxies are not enabled by default. To enable this in Brave Browser use

brave://settings/privacy

From there you “Enable Bridges” and “Select Built-in Bridge: Snowflake”

I myself living in a country such as mine where the government has turned more and more totalitarian each day. I find it more and more important to be privacy conscious.

I recommend everyone use Tor anytime they don’t want the chance of being tracked online.

And remember, ALWAYS USE SIGNAL.ORG!
